7th Annual High Altitude Robotics Extravaganza

The CocoNuts and AstroNuts hosted 44 FIRST Robotics teams at the 7th Annual High Altitude Robotics Extravaganza this past Saturday, December 6th at Coconino High School. Guest speakers for the opening ceremonies included NAU President Rita Cheng, NAU Provost Laura Huenneke, NAU Associate Dean Thomas Hoisch, and Flagstaff Mayor Jerry Nabours.

NAU President Rita Cheng welcomes participants to the 7th Annual High Altitude Robotics Tournament. Provost Laura Huenneke and Associate Dean of Research Tom Hoisch also spoke enthusiastically.
Teams came from many Flagstaff Schools as well as from other Southwestern states! Approximately 500 robotics students, coaches, and parents participated.

Thank you to the 150 volunteers – 90% of whom came from Northern Arizona University! A giant thank you to all volunteers!
