Student Engineers Design for the Future

11/18/2014

Elissa Calloway, Brandy Pyzyna, and Ali Applin of SenesTech are working with Jenna Samora’s 7th grade students to design efficient and affordable liquid bait delivery systems. The liquid formula prevents reproduction in the rats, thus maintaining a lower rat population, while being nontoxic to all organisms and the environment. Luring the rats to drink the formula while considering the constraints and criteria needed for their design is a real-world challenge for the students. Senestech is participating in Sinagua Middle School’s Scientists in the Classroomprogram developed by Jillian Worssam.
