"I am honored to win the STEM student of the year award and I am very humbled to be involved in something so prestigious. I was inspired to be in the presence of my mentors and it was awe-inspiring to have them cheer me on when I was awarded STEM student of the year. I will continue to lead through STEM in my community, and with the awarded prize money I plan to help grow my small company (inspired by my experiences as a CTE and STEM student) and also pay my deposit for college next semester. Thank you, Flagstaff!" |
"I am so thrilled to be a Flagstaff 2019 STEM Student of the Year winner. I was so honored just to be nominated for this opportunity. I love STEM and enjoy helping spread it and being a part of what makes Flagstaff a STEM city. In 2020 I will be going to school to become an architect. I am putting the money I won towards a laptop that will run the design software and programs I will need to become an architect. I am so grateful to have been recognized by my teacher and town as a role model and a leader in spreading STEM." |
